Melvin Belk Roofing - Roofing Contractor in Grand Rapids, MI

Andrew, your team did an outstanding job with the siding repairs and roof replacement on our 110-year-old property. What started as a straightforward project expanded after uncovering water damage from the old roof requiring the teardown and reconstruction of two sides of the back entrance down to the studs along with replacement of two flat roofs. The 2-man crew demonstrated exceptional carpentry skills, and professionalism - they worked incredibly hard and were a pleasure to work with.

Andrew and the team at Belk took great care of us after a tornado ran through our neighborhood in August ‘24. The day after he was here to inspect the site and dispatched a crew the same day to put temporary patches in place (roof, walls, windows) while waiting to work through the insurance claim. When the insurance adjuster came, Andrew was here to ensure his questions were answered. The work crews, whether Belk employees or subcontractors, were also fantastic asking for feedback and returning promptly to resolve issues. Thank you to Andrew and the entire team at Melvin Belk!

We recently had our roof replaced by Melvin Belk Roofing and I would highly recommend them. Our salesman, Andrew Belk, was great to work with. No high pressure sales pitch. He provided a quote quickly and didn't waste our time. Our roof was not straight forward and had several different surfaces and unique areas to deal with. They were able to handle all of these areas with ease. They also took great care to protect our landscaping during the tear off process and were very thorough on the cleanup afterwards, sweeping our yard with magnets to collect stray nails. We did get quotes from a few other companies, none of which came close to matching the price we received from Melvin Belk Roofing. The other companies gave lengthy sales pitches and tried to upsell us or sign immediately to get their best price. We literally had to kick one guy out of our house because he wouldn't leave. Don't waste your time! Call Melvin Belk Roofing first. Melvin Belk Roofing is a honest, hard working group of folks. We know others in the community that have used them and recommend them as well. And our neighbors agreed and are using Melvin Belk Roofing to replace their roof too.

I loved working with them!! Andrew made sure to fully explain everything that he quoted us for. We were able to choose from three different brand of shingles and the color we preferred! The crew that handles tearing off and putting on the new shingles were fantastic. Everyone was extremely respectful and efficient. I couldn’t recommend them enough! Hands the down the best company I’ve dealt with.

Andrew Belk was amazing to work with on my lake house, which had storm damage this spring. We needed a new roof along with fixing the water-damaged ceiling in our living room. He worked with my insurance agent, which made it super simple for me. I’ve worked with quite a few contractors in the past, and Andrew at Melvin Belk Roofing is far superior to them all. I would highly recommend you work with him. Thanks again, Andrew!
