Public records, current accreditation status, and activation information for homeowners and contractors.

Homeowners Contractors
What is ARCO?
ARCO is the American Roofing Contractors Organization, an independent, non-governmental accreditation body. It evaluates roofing contractors using public records and third-party data against ARCO Standard 2026.1 and publishes contractor profiles in its public registry.
How is an ARCO-accredited roofer different from a directory listing?
A directory listing is not accreditation or an endorsement. Check the current accreditation status on the individual profile, along with its evaluation date and available source findings. A company can have a public profile without active ARCO accreditation.
How does ARCO evaluate roofing contractors?
ARCO reviews available evidence such as applicable licensing records, business filings, safety records, customer-review data, and complaint findings against the published standard. Source coverage varies by company. Missing evidence is not the same as a confirmed finding.
Does it cost homeowners anything to use the registry?
Searching the public registry and reading contractor profiles is free and does not require an account. Homeowners can review the available findings and use the contact links on a profile to contact the contractor directly.
Can I trust every roofer listed on ARCO?
A listing alone does not mean a contractor is accredited. Profiles distinguish Not Accredited, Activation Pending, and Accredited status. Review the current status and source findings, and confirm time-sensitive information before choosing a contractor.
What if I have a concern about a contractor?
Use the Report a Concern page to share relevant information with ARCO. Accreditation reflects findings about the company; it is not a warranty or guarantee of the outcome of a particular roofing project.
How current is the information on a profile?
Profiles show the evaluation date and available source information. Public records and third-party data can change after a check. Confirm current licensing, insurance, and other time-sensitive details with the contractor and the relevant source before hiring.
Can I recommend a roofer for evaluation?
You can send ARCO the company name and location through the contact form. A recommendation does not grant accreditation. Available evidence must be evaluated against the published standard.
