BluSky Roofing, LLC - Roofing Contractor in Columbus, OH

I found BluSky Roofing on Thumbtack. Joel reached out to me and was very professional and explained each process in detail along with material samples of how the project worked. A thourough inspection was done that previous roof inspections missed. They were able to keep cost down for me as much as possible while delivering a beautiful product that comes with a 50 year warranty. Taylor also made the process with insurance easy and I was able to pay for services in full within 1 week of the finished roof. Im very happy with their services and have already referred them to others.

My husband and I were just beginning our search for a roofing company when I happened to spot a BluSky Roofing vehicle in a parking lot. That’s where I met Joel Saffel and asked for his card—little did I know, it would lead to one of the best home improvement experiences we’ve ever had! From the very start, Joel went above and beyond—even before providing a quote. He was incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping us make the right decisions for our home. Whether you need a new roof, repairs, gutters, or siding, I highly recommend reaching out to Joel at BluSky Roofing. The company is locally owned and operated, and their professionalism and commitment to quality truly set them apart. They are 100% on top of their game!

I hired Blu-Sky Roofing for an air sealing project that was extremely important to me — not just from an energy efficiency standpoint, but from an indoor air quality and health perspective. This wasn’t a routine “improve the insulation scores” type of job. The goal was to materially improve air quality in a way that would positively impact quality of life. So getting this right really mattered. Because of that, I did an unusually rigorous vetting process. I researched contractors across the greater Columbus area, narrowed it down to a short list based on real-world results, testimonials, and reputation, and personally interviewed each one. Blu-Sky Roofing ended up at the top of that list — and after working with them, I can confidently say the real-world experience validated the research. From the beginning, the process felt collaborative. If I had questions or concerns, they didn’t steamroll me or rush me. They listened. They adapted. They offered thoughtful feedback based on my goals and actually trained-me up on knowledge related to the decision-making process so I felt confident in the final plan. That mattered a lot, especially given how sensitive this project was for me. Lucas Schertzer showed up exactly when he said he would (and communicated in front of that). Communication was consistent, clear, and professional throughout. I never felt rushed. In fact, it genuinely felt like the job wasn’t “done” until I was fully satisfied and any concerns or anxieties I had were resolved. The technical execution was top-tier. Attention to detail was obvious. No corner cutting. No shortcuts. Just careful, methodical, HARD WORK with real pride behind it. You can tell when someone actually cares about the outcome versus just completing a work order — and these guys care. I’ll also say this plainly: I liked Lucas. Beyond doing excellent technical work, he’s just a solid guy. Professional, extremely clean-cut, polite, easy to talk to, and trustworthy. I enjoyed being around him. Based on my experience, I would absolutely recommend Blu-Sky Roofing for air sealing and insulation projects. And honestly, given the level of professionalism, communication, and technical competence I saw, I would trust them with any service they specialize in. High standards going in. High standards met in execution. That’s about as strong an endorsement as I can give. Thanks for the help Lucas – I mean that.

We needed to have the blow-in insulation removed from the knee wall crawl space over our kitchen. Lucas came out to assess the space and provide an estimate. He was very knowledgeable and offered thoughtful, practical advice on our insulation needs—without any high-pressure sales tactics, just straightforward information. We received the estimate within a few days, and the crew was scheduled the following week. The two young men who completed the work were polite, professional, and conscientious. They did an excellent job removing the insulation. We’re very happy with the results.

Blu Sky is an amazing company. They answered my initial inquiry within an hour. They followed up with a text and then a phone call from Lucas. They arrived at the specified time and quickly knocked out the insulation repair in our Dublin, OH home. I highly recommend Bku Sky.
