I got five quotes, and learned a lot about roofing. All 5 contractors used GAF roofing shingles. A city inspector will come and inspect it at the end of job. Which is important for my insurance. The job was completed quickly and on time and in my case, it was a big job. Match Point Roofing, what’s the least expensive and I saw the work that they did for one of my neighbors so I was happy to go with them.

Finally a new roof, we’ve delayed this for so long. After getting several estimates, we went with Match Point. So happy with this company they have an excellent team very professional, friendly and hard workers. We called them back to install gutters so glad we did. Luis (owner) was excellent with keeping in contact the entire time of our roofing project Nov. 2023... from start date estimates due to inclement weather, updates during the project, and afterwards allowing us to review the roof before payment. He was quick to obtain necessary permits, sent a great photo album of every step of the way, and most importantly, his work is superb with both the pitch and flat roofs, fixing the skylight and maneuvering plus sealing around the roofmount AC.

Luis (Owner), brother Genaro and team (Rosy, Antonio, Luis Sr., Luis Jr., Elizero, Saúl and Jesse) delivered the first-rate “Bob Vila” experience I was looking for when my old roof and ceilings failed due to poor workmanship from a prior owner’s DIY job. From the start, Luis was a transparent communicator, managing my expectations and leaving nothing to surprise. He stayed true to the original price quotes (very reasonable prices) and clearly communicated the change order process up front. He and his team took 250 progress photos for me and sent me the link at project completion, so I have a well-documented record for insurance or future sales purposes. Office manager Rosy was amazing to work with as well. She always answered my calls promptly and cheerfully. On a couple of occasions I dialed her by accident, and she called me back quickly to make sure my needs were met. Luis, too, was readily accessible by phone. Only one time he was in a meeting when I called him, and he texted me in live time, following up promptly by phone shortly after. During the 7-day project, Luis and his team were sensitive to my tight work schedule and collaborated with me to work diligently even on Labor Day and Saturday to minimize my time off work and complete the project before the rainy season. Either Luis or Genaro were always on site to oversee the crew and ensure operations proceeded smoothly. They made the process so easy for me, handling permits, inspections, material delivery, and lining up/overseeing subcontractors. When minor adjustments were needed to the skylights, they took care of it immediately, without hassle, reassuring me their client’s satisfaction came first. How often does this happen in real life? :) Did I mention they were always on time? When a freak thunderstorm hit on day 2 (not in forecast), Luis and his experienced team were at my door at 6:15am with tarps in hand to protect my home. They worked 11 hours that day to keep the project on track for the deck inspection on day 3, which we passed with flying colors. He also had the foresight to recommend I install new fire alarms prior to the second inspection, so we would again pass on the first go. As a second-generation roofer who started in the business at age 16 with his father, Luis brings 20 years’ experience and is adept at troubleshooting the unique situations each roofing job brings. He and his team under guidance of Genaro uncovered hidden dry rot in the rafters and missing support beams in two areas of the house, plus missing insulation and vents. The team brought the carpentry framing skills and insulation installation experience needed to make the corrections (hard to find in most roofing companies), and they had the subcontractor relationships to onboard competent drywallers and texturizers for the ceiling rebuild. They were even able to skillfully replace the roofing in a difficult to reach area below my HVAC. The team also reinforced my TPO flat roof by installing an over layer with insulation in between, for a very reasonable price (yes—all this in just 7 days!). I found Luis to be a business owner who cares about his clients and reputation and lives up to his word. He and his team were very respectful of me, my home and my neighbors. Each day, they left the property cleaner than when they had found it. They never entered the home without first knocking and obtaining my permission. The team is very safety conscientious and keeps up on annual industry trainings for best practices, which brought me added peace of mind. This was my first reroof experience. I vetted 30 companies and Match Point came out on top based on clean record with California State Licensing Board (active license and insurance), BBB A+ rating and many positive reviews from satisfied clients. Their name, “Match Point” in tennis means the point that wins the entire match and sets one apart from the rest. Luis and his team performed true to their name. Throughout the process, I always felt I hired the right team and would use them again without hesitation!

Luis was very detailed and very responsive. The work he and his team did to my roof was phenomenal. I’m a very happy customer. Highly recommend for anyone who is also in need of a roof replacement.
