The accounting

$450/ yr

Annual ARCO Accreditation Fee

A single roofing job runs $10,000–$20,000. One cold proposal that now closes, one homeowner who chose you instead of moving on to the accredited contractor in your market, pays your accreditation for the next 22 years.
Bid 150 estimates a year. A 5-point close-rate lift is 7.5 additional jobs at $12,000 each: $90,000 in additional revenue on bids you were already running. No new ad spend. No new crews. Halve it if 5 feels high for your market. Halve it again. Even at a 1.25-point lift, $22,500 in additional revenue, that's still a 50-to-1 return on the annual fee.

Verify the math

Run the math on your own numbers.

We used 150 bids, $12,000 average, and a 5-point lift in the example above. Plug in your actual figures.

Common questions

Before you activate.

What's the difference between qualifying and activating? +

Qualifying means your independent evaluation is complete and your company met the 2026 accreditation standard. That review is already done. Your result is already on file.

Activating is the final step that turns that qualification into a public credential. Once activated, your profile updates to ARCO Accredited, your 2026 seal is released, your verification record goes live, and your business-use materials become available.

What exactly is included in the $450 activation fee? +

Your activation includes:

  • Publication of your ARCO Accredited profile
  • Your 2026 Top-Rated Roofing Contractor seal
  • Digital seal files for proposals, website use, email, and marketing
  • Your public verification record
  • Official seal usage rights
  • Your physical welcome kit
  • Local announcement and business-use materials
  • Access to the 90-day close-rate guarantee
How soon will my profile show as ARCO Accredited? +

Within 24 hours of activation.

Most profiles update the same business day. Your digital seal files are released immediately, and your physical welcome kit ships within 7–10 days.

What happens if I wait to activate? +

Until activation is complete, your profile remains marked Activation Pending.

Your 2026 seal stays locked, your accredited status is not published, and homeowners will not see your ARCO Accredited designation.

Activation is the step that turns your completed evaluation into a public credential. Once activated, your profile can update to ARCO Accredited, your seal is released, and your business-use materials become available.

The sooner you activate, the sooner the credential can start working for your business.

What's in the welcome kit? +

Your welcome kit includes your 2026 Medallion of Accreditation in a two-sided display case, two weatherproof vehicle decals for trucks or trailers, and your official seal usage license document with your unique accreditation number.

Digital materials are released immediately after activation. Physical materials ship separately.

Is my activation protected by a guarantee? +

Yes. Your activation is covered by a 90-day close-rate guarantee.

Activate your accreditation, use the seal on your proposals and sales materials, and measure your close rate over the next 90 days.

If your close rate has not measurably improved, contact us and we will refund the full activation fee.

The risk of testing accreditation in your market belongs to us.

Can I cancel my accreditation? +

Yes. Accreditation renews annually, and you can decline renewal before your next renewal date.

If you cancel renewal, your accreditation simply does not renew for the next cycle.

Your 90-day refund guarantee still applies during the guarantee window.

Is ARCO affiliated with a government agency or a licensing board? +

No. The American Roofing Contractors Organization is an independent, non-governmental accreditation body that evaluates and recognizes roofing contractors who meet standards of professionalism, workmanship, and integrity.

ARCO does not replace state licensing, insurance, bonding, or legal requirements.

Is the accreditation fee tax-deductible? +

Professional accreditation and membership fees are typically treated as deductible business expenses when they qualify as ordinary and necessary for your business. Confirm with your tax advisor.

A note from Mark Warren

You earned the qualification through years of doing the work. The composite score, the threshold, the categories of independent review — that part is already done.

The only question this page asks is whether you want that record where the homeowner can find it at the moment she's deciding.

Picture this. A homeowner — call her Linda — has three estimates on her kitchen table. The numbers are within a few thousand dollars of each other. She tells herself she's deciding on price. She isn't — she's deciding on which contractor she can defend choosing. She pulls out her phone. She types your company name.

Your profile loads. What it shows her in that moment is what this activation is about.

The fee is $450 a year. It comes with a 90-day close-rate guarantee — activate, run estimates exactly the way you've been running them, and if your close rate hasn't measurably increased in 90 days, we refund every dollar. The risk of finding out what activation does in your specific market belongs to us.
